Elder Mike Glen Tyson, age 56, of Hillsville, passed away January 10, 2010 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. He was born February 27, 1953 to Lavern Tyson and the late Bobbie Jewell Tyson.
Survivors are his wife Becky Tyson of the home; two daughters, Jenny Nash of LA. and Bobbie Jo Pinkard of Hillsville; father, Lavern Tyson of IL; two brothers, Rodney Tyson of TX. and Keith Tyson of WA; six grandchildren and several nieces, nephew, aunts and uncles also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 4pm in the Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church. The Elder Michael McGrady will be officiating. Family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family in care of The Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church 4142 Coulson Church Rd, Hillsville, VA 24343.
